DAY camp employment opportunities

Join our team: make a difference this summer!

Camp Batawa isn’t just a summer job—it’s an adventure, a leadership opportunity, and an unforgettable experience. We’re looking for driven, hardworking, and creative individuals to join our team and help create an incredible summer for our campers. It’s not always easy, but it’s one of the most rewarding jobs you’ll ever have.

If you love working with kids, being outdoors, and making a positive impact, we want you on our team!

Our Camps

Batawa Ski Hill works hard to provide a recreational day camp experience with a traditional summer camp feel, for kids ranging in age from 6 to 16, and based in a unique natural outdoor setting. Our camp staff, also known around here as Campologists, is comprised of individuals who are hardworking, child-centered, safe and professional. Because of the lasting impact of camp, we aim to hire a squad of individuals who can actively contribute to providing campers with a whimsical and memorable experience all summer long.

Our Team

Our campology team is the heart and soul of camp. We are tireless magic-makers; we look for individuals who are at least 17 years of age, have some previous experience working with kids, a love for the outdoors, are first aid certified and are willing to give their all for up to an average of 35 hours per week for up to nine weeks starting late June/early July.

This job is for high-energy, solution-focused leaders who thrive on making a difference. It’s long days in the sun, messy, and unpredictable—but every challenge comes with unforgettable rewards. If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in a camper’s breakthrough moment, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to bring creativity and initiative to every day, we want to hear from you.

Batawa Day Camp Staff:

  • have the heart of a child and the head of a leader

  • can help wipe away tears

  • make people laugh (or at least willing to try)

  • are comfortable speaking in front of a group commanding attention and leading songs (ukulele skills are a bonus but not required!)

  • are willing to have water dumped on them daily

  • enjoy mud in their shoes, glue in their hair and paint on their clothes

Our team needs individuals who are planners; with safety in mind and who can be one-step-ahead of a challenging camper.
