DAY camp employment opportunities

Calling all those with the heart of a child & the head of a leader!

It’s that time of year again…..Batawa Ski Hill is looking for dynamic and inspiring summer Campologists to lead our summer adventure day camps.

Our Camps

Batawa Ski Hill works hard to provide a recreational day camp experience with a traditional summer camp feel, for kids ranging in age from 6 to 16, and based in a unique natural outdoor setting. Our camp staff, also known around here as Campologists, is comprised of individuals who are hardworking, child-centered, safe and professional. Because of the lasting impact of camp, we aim to hire a squad of individuals who can actively contribute to providing campers with a whimsical and memorable experience all summer long.

Our Team

Our campology team is the heart and soul of camp. We are tireless magic-makers; we look for individuals who are at least 17 years of age, have some previous experience working with kids, a love for the outdoors, are first aid certified and are willing to give their all for up to an average of 35 hours per week for up to nine weeks starting late June/early July.

These individuals have the heart of a child and the head of a leader, can help wipe away tears, make people laugh (or at least willing to try) and can withstand a strong dose of smelly feet. They are comfortable speaking in front of a group, commanding attention and leading songs (ukulele skills are a bonus but not required!). Counsellors are willing to have water dumped on them daily, enjoy mud in their shoes, glue in their hair and paint on their clothes. Our team needs individuals who are planners; with safety in mind and who can be one-step-ahead of a challenging camper.

Counsellors will gain valuable work-life experience through planning and executing daily camp activities, working closely with their peers, and managing camper group dynamics.

We cherish tradition, love new ideas and are looking for people with the energy and creativity to make them happen. If you fit this description or even some of it, but are willing to learn and want to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment this summer, we would love to meet you!
