Please note the following policies prior to your visit
Motorized Vehicles
Motorized vehicle use is not permitted on BDC property. The damage to the environment caused but motorized traffic is irreparable. The BDC wishes to preserve the land in its natural state. Any violators will be prosecuted.
Camping
Camping, lighting of fires and disposal of garbage of any kind are not permitted on the property.
Hunting
Hunting of any kind is not permitted on the property.
Horses/Horse Back Riding
Horses/horseback riding is not permitted on BDC property/trails.
Dogs
Dogs are permitted at our facilities provided that they are kept on a leash and in control at all times. Dogs allowed to run loose can cause injury to small children, hikers and cyclists. The use of “Poop N Scoop” bags is encouraged however, waste must be packed out and not left on the trails. If you have run out of bags or are not able to pack your waste out for proper disposal use a stick to remove the matter from the trafficked area into the woods/off the trails.
Outside Contractors/Businesses/Clubs
Any business/club wishing to use the Batawa Lands for events, training, demos etc. must first contact the Batawa Ski Hill for permission. Proof if insurance and land use fees may be required. We are happy to help you organize your event to ensure success. Please contact communications@batawa.ca
