Snow School

At our snow school students of all ages feel pride in reaching new goals, and parents appreciate the emphasis on safety.

And then, our skilled and friendly instructors, all fully certified through the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) and the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI), make learning these two outdoor pastimes a lot of fun because we know nothing beats being outdoors and being active!

Our Discovery Package

NEW this 2012/2013 season: Two-hour lift tickets for parents/guardians who wish to enjoy the slopes while their child is in a lesson. Specially priced from $20.

Please note that:

• the listed lesson costs do not include a lift ticket or rentals
• a lift ticket is required for all lesson participants, including the beginner run
• participants registered in group lessons must be five years of age and older
• the children’s eight-week program qualifies for the Canadian Children’s Fitness Tax Credit
• advance registration is highly recommended

Four-Week Group Lessons: Mini Viking program for the “Under 5s”

We’re proud to offer Mini Viking, a program developed by the CSIA that introduces young children to skiing or snowboarding through exploration.

Games, treasure hunts, stories and terrain-based teaching are all used to help children achieve level-specific goals. In this program they’ll learn how to safely use the “Bambi” lift, and how to glide and stop successfully.

Upon completion, they’ll be rewarded for their efforts, earning an animal character progression pass and report card.

• Four start dates to choose from: Saturday, January 12, Sunday, January 13, Saturday, February 9, Sunday, February 10
• Classes run for four weeks from 10 am to 11:30 am
• For children five years of age and younger
• Price: $109 + taxes + lift tix + rentals (if applicable)

Eight-Week Group Lessons: two series, three time slots for your convenience

In this longer program, students will earn bronze, silver or gold passes as they master “Exploration” and “Adventure” goals, and receive a CSIA skier report documenting their progress.

For snowboarding students, we use CASI’s QuickRide, a teaching system that moves students through five goals and puts them on the “road to radness” with the help of our our qualified instructors.

• Begins either Saturday, January 12 or Sunday, January 13
• Choice of times: starting at 10 am, 12 pm, or 2 pm
• 90-minute ski/snowboard lessons for 12 total hours of instruction
• Specifically for children between the ages of five and 15 years

Ladies’ Night – Develop your skills

• Six-week, ski/snowboard group lessons for women only
• Every Wednesday night, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, from January 9, 2013
• Total 12 hours of instruction

Men’s Group Power Sessions:  Develop skills & maximizing any terrain

• Three-hour, ski/ board sessions for men
• Run every Thursday
